Reviews & Reputation: Turning Happy Customers into Rankings

Two local businesses, same service, same prices: one has 9 reviews, the other 90 with thoughtful replies. Google ranks them accordingly - and so does every human who looks. Reviews are the currency of local trust, and they can be earned systematically without ever faking a word.

Build the asking habit

Happy customers leave reviews when asked at the right moment - job finished, compliment given - and when it takes one tap. QR code on the counter and invoice, link in the follow-up text. Make it a step in the job, not an occasional plea, and volume plus recency (both ranking signals) take care of themselves.

Bad reviews, handled well, help

A perfect score looks suspicious; a 4.7 with graceful replies looks human. Answer criticism fast, factually and without ego - future customers read your reply as a preview of how you will treat them when something goes wrong. Never argue publicly; offer to fix it and move the detail offline.

Spread beyond Google

Google reviews come first, but Trustpilot and industry platforms rank in their own right and often appear beside your name in searches - claiming and managing them is part of our reputation service. One rule everywhere: never buy or fake reviews. Platforms detect it, customers smell it, and the penalty outlasts the boost.
